French Press
Coffee:Water Ratio [1:12]
3 Cup Press 30 g coffee to 350 g water
8 Cup Press 75 g coffee to 880 g water
12 Cup Press 105 g coffee to 1250 g water
Brew Time: 4 minutes
Grind: 30 on Baratza Encore - coarse grind
- Grind the coffee and place it in the French press
- Bring water to a boil
- Carefully pour enough water to saturate the grounds and let rest for 1 minute
- At one minute, stir and then add the remaining water. Do one last stir and let sit for the remaining 3 minutes
- At 4 minutes, gently press the lid/filter down. If not drinking right away, place brewed coffee into a carafe to prevent over extraction
- Pour into your cup of choice and enjoy!
FRENCH PRESS COLD BREW (CONCENTRATE)
Brew and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Dilute down to your preferred strength. Start with a 1:1 dilution

3 Cup Press 50g coffee to 350 g water
8 Cup Press 120g coffee to 840 g water
12 Cup Press 165g coffee to 1150 g water
Brew Time: 12-16 hours
Grind: 28 on Baratza Encore - coarse grind
- Grind the coffee and place it in the French press
- Add cold water into grinds and give an initial stir
- Cover and place in the refrigerator for 12-16 hours
- Gently press the lid and filter down and pour coffee concentrate into storage containers.
- Dilute to 1:1, serve over ice in your favorite glass and enjoy!
